With the introduction of the new Ofsted inspection framework, feedback from a number of schools indicates that the Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR) is playing an increasingly significant role in shaping inspection activity and informing inspectors’ lines of enquiry. It is therefore essential that senior leaders and governors have a clear understanding of what the IDSR is, how inspectors use it, and how schools can interpret and respond effectively to the information it contains.
This training will support both the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and governors in developing this understanding. It also includes example data sets for group discussion to help participants apply their knowledge in practice. The session can be viewed collectively as a governing body, or governors who are unable to attend can watch it at a later time using the shared login.
Session Format
- As with all our training, we are mindful of workload and wellbeing. This session is designed to be concise and manageable.
- The core recording is approximately 15 minutes long.
- It includes several practical activities, which will take an additional 15 minutes to complete.
- There is also an opportunity to review your own school’s IDSR.
- This can be done at a later time if preferred.
- Alternatively, when the example activities are highlighted in the video, you may choose to review your own IDSR at those points instead of completing the sample tasks.
