What is included in Locate and Label Resource? 

The Locate and Label activity helps children identify and label the features of a mountain. The resource has definitions for each feature, along with five words that correspond to each definition. Each sentence and word should be matched to the correct part of the mountain, and children can do this by writing the letter in the appropriate place on the image and then adding the matching word beside it. An answer page is also provided for support and ease.

How can the resources be used?

If these features form part of your crucial knowledge, this is an ideal activity to revisit each week. Laminating the image makes it durable and easy to reuse, allowing children to repeatedly practise identifying and labelling the mountain features. The activity can be used independently, in pairs, or as part of a whole-class retrieval session, helping pupils strengthen their long-term understanding of key geographical vocabulary.
