How is this unique approach to staff meetings organised?
The science staff meeting was thoughtful, well-paced, and genuinely useful for classroom practice. The phase session for Upper Key Stage 2 was particularly valuable. As a Year 6 teacher, I appreciated seeing concrete examples of how different enquiry types and skills could be applied across a range of topics. It provided a great opportunity to pick up new ideas, recognise strengths in our current practice, and share strategies with colleagues in a collaborative way. Having time at the end to look through books within our key stage was also beneficial, as it allowed us to gain insight into consistency and practice across Year 5 and 6. Overall, the meeting was engaging, reflective, and directly relevant to our teaching, making it a worthwhile and productive session.
